Well Ladies and gentleman I think that it is plain to see...As stated in the past
there is a gap in the world of the two wheeler. The power Rangers of the lakeshore
drives,Underdressed and Over Powered. The Creakey Dodger on his ripe Two wheeled
couch doing their best impression of Kapt.Kirk on a UFO.The gritty hardcore one percent
(no description required) and The Goldcard Country Club Elite who often sport the
finest shine and least proper use. Where do you fit in?
Well I don't either....
What I am suggesting in response to the years of the this foolishness is a conspiricy. A whole hearted underminding of the entire society. Now granted I know at this moment there are many different Ideas about whats wrong... They said this, Look at those knuckleheads, fancy lads, as many elements of society as there are there are that many different scoot jockeys do what they do in this little society. I think it is fair to say to any of you that it really doesn't matter what any one thinks about us. Individually we ride scooters for ourselves. "Motorcycle Enthusiasts"( How the fuck did we get politically corrected?) Sometimes we go to places where there are other "Enthusiasts" and that is where you find the worlds clash.
Last year I bought a sticker for my truck that said "Jap Bike Repair Kit" We've all seen it, picture of a hand grenade. I do more on and to Uncle Bens Rice Burners than most of the spankies that either look down there schnoz at me or tell me to purchase an american product. But I figured I would beat the man to the punch with my sticker. This year it is my quest to find the "Jap Bikes are for Pussies" T-Shirt and sport it proudly as I roll through the rallies and swap meets. A social commentary if you will. Leading me to my point.
The consparicy.... Syndicated Association....
Acknowledge the gaps in the way. To know there are more of us...The Riders of
Discontent... Not a club.. an Acknowledgement that I too am that odd man out. And
if I am out in the world and I see a mark a symbol a sign that says I am that odd
man too. Then we have something in common. Currently the 667 Cult of Denver and the
893 of Boston have an association. But not all of us know all of them. And Vice-versa.
And Although many of the viewers of the 667 page (2-3k per day) know of the 667 and
the 893. We do not know individually who they are. Ogri Mcc,Motorcycho,Land o Bikerscum,Knights
of the Rice Ring and others whom I do not know even by name. Something that would
save us all the time of introductions and passed by greetings. I do not often offer
a hearty handshakes and greetings as often they are not handed
to me.
In the fall of '97 I went across country (well most of the way) on a late model z900. I took my time, alot of roadside distractions to see in this fair country. The most difficult part of the travel was an inability to find other riders in other cities, even with 4 months of preperation. I must have sent 10 - 15 emails to Memphis and another 20 to people in hopes they might know people who live in Memphis I didn't even care if they rode or just had a Couch I could crash on. I got nothing. Not one return nobody cared. Nosupport. Nothing...AMA no help, I know I'm riding Nipponese but friends of HOG...Nothing...It got real cold real quick...
Now with the 893 associations to the 667 cult I was welcomed.I went to Denver and once it was established I wasn't a psyco-freak theif, I was treated as a brother. All because I sent some mail to the creator of the website and said I am that odd man out...Now its syndicated anyone who is allright by the 667 is allright by the 893...And if this association was to grow imagine the possibilities. Everywhere you go there a nutjob just like you around the corner. It would be good to see you coming so we don't pass each other by.
Special Agent Johnny Socko is a sacred brother of the 893 family: http://lynx.dac.neu.edu/m/mdubois/,
and of the UTMC. This article and others are tapped from the viens of his soul, he
has seen many miles and met many people in his journeys. He and all of the 893 are
proof that the UTMC is not just an idea of the few, but the mind of the many, that
there is an evolution of the motorcycling culture that is a truth at the most fundemental
level. We all have brothers and sisters wherever we go, may we be given the resources
to seek them out, and show them that they are not alone. In this culture we call
the "biker", there is a drought of understanding, acceptance, knowledge,
tolerance and love between it's brothers and sisters. To all of us, no matter where
we come from, what color we are or what we ride, let our message burn accross this
wasteland of hope, let the new breed spread as wildfire.
